play me i'm yours.

I love to play the piano almost as much as I love sugar. So obviously I think this is fantastic... Play Me I'm Yours - a public piano project in Sydney by Luke Jerram. There are 30 pianos left around the city for anyone and everyone to play. Things like this can't help but make me smile.

live long summer.

I just can't get over how awesome Lizzie Fortunato's jewelry & accessories are. Especially loving that headband.

These feather and stick valentines from Stephanie Congdon Barnes are so adorable and creative (she's planning a shop update today!)

Something about Sharon Montrose's work feels to me like fashion photography. So accessible.

uppercase magazine.

Very happy about this announcement that Uppercase has a new quarterly magazine. (Especially after the super sad news that Domino is folding. Not fair.)

gallant tales.

I've had my eye on this wallpaper from Alan The Gallant for quite a while. I think it belongs in my bedroom, but I need it in black & white.

side note: I love that they call themselves a "multi-talent design bureau".

make my day.

The photography and Spring '09 collection from Humanoid caught my eye. Specifically, maybe it was that heart-shaped rock and awesome hair...

things and such.

Elle decor is a slight diversion from our usual reads - Dwell, Wallpaper, CA... but I have officially decided I truly love it. Mixing up a variety of styles is not always as simple as it may seem.

human empire.

70's inspired little dude illustrated by Hamburg based graphic design studio Human Empire. Check out their solid portfolio featuring a wide variety of clients. And if you happen to be in Germany from now until mid April they are having a Swiss poster exhibit with food and music from the period.

This funky calendar is available for purchase through A number of Small Things along with a ton of their other lovelies.

You can never have too many moleskin notebooks, right? I love this gocco printed one from Ink & Spindle.

They also have some great fabrics (found via perfectbound).

Beautiful letterpress valentines from Hello Handmade that are customized with Betsy's incredible calligraphy.

Also, have you seen the tiny valentines from the World's Smallest Postal Service? I'm thinking about ordering one.

peacock.

I've been noticing peacocks everywhere lately - feathers in a vase at lunch yesterday, a peacock roaming a neighbors yard (no, really!) so I'm loving this DIY idea from Kristy Neale.
