DIY Valentine for the little ones.

seesaw greetings.

Hope your holidays are full of love and laughter. We are taking a blogging break for the Holidays and will be back on January 4th. We have quite a bit planned for 2010 including a new and improved blog.

DIY wreath found over at Pickles (love their blog header) and vintage ornaments found here.

pompom.

Here's a fun little DIY project for the holiday break: make a pom pom necklace & scarf.

paper sunbursts.

When I went to help Christina set up for the Blissfest blogger's lounge, I kept admiring the sunbursts she made with rolled up pages ripped out of an old dictionary and auto convex mirrors. Aren't they cute? They'd make a great DIY project for Christmas decor.

alphabet poster and shelving.

We've been inspired by the awesome diy shelving units lately. When we saw this version by Laura at Ascot Friday, we also loved the alphabet poster she found at IKEA, and couldn't help but pick up a couple for ourselves.

yoyos.

I've always loved the look of yoyo quilts, so of course I was happy to see this yoyo how-to by Laura Normandin on design*sponge. Perhaps I'll be making a pillow soon.

tissue paper flowers.

A great DIY from Once Wed: tissue paper garden centerpieces. Aren't they so pretty?

wallpaper projects.

I've got a stack of wallpaper samples, and currently I'm too indecisive to make a commitment on a large scale. So I enjoyed seeing these ten wallpaper projects from DIY.

thrift stores + paint.

The May 2009 issue of Elle Decor has an article combining two favorite things -- thrift stores & colorful paint. As AT pointed out, that shelving display of junk drawers is pretty awesome too.

pushpins.

There's a little roundup of some fun alternatives to pushpins on ATSF... because what's an inspiration board without some interesting pins, right?

(And here's a little tutorial from design*sponge on how to make your own fabric-covered thumbtacks.

peacock.

I've been noticing peacocks everywhere lately - feathers in a vase at lunch yesterday, a peacock roaming a neighbors yard (no, really!) so I'm loving this DIY idea from Kristy Neale.

why buy when you can d.i.y.?

We love this idea: Fresh Pressed is a do-it-yourself screen printing shop. Bring your art, the shirt you'd like printed and within minutes they'll have you ready to print your own masterpiece. Why don't we have anything this cool in Phoenix?

debranded.

Love this (yes, even though we do branding): Debranded Home is "committed to helping you reduce visual pollution by lessening brand presence in your home."

Waterproof, re-usable vinyl labels on any bottles you want. I'm imagining a little row of them on the bathroom counter (since they're pretty enough to leave out in the open). There's only two styles to choose from, but maybe we'll make our own labels.
