reader survey + giveaway.

Dear readers,

We think you're neat*. Would you pretty please take two minutes and fill out this survey? We're trying to learn more about who you are, what you like/don't like, what you want to see more of, etc. It's anonymous and only 15 easy questions.

As some motivation, we're giving 5 of you a little surprise: any 3-pk of letterpress cards you want plus a calendar. Just remember to leave a comment on this post after you've taken the survey and the winners will be chosen randomly. Survey ends March 8th, so make sure you enter before then. Thank you!

I love the letterpress hang tag and illustration created for Yokoo's winter collaboration with Urban.

feeling sweet?

New SeeSaw cards - blank to write your own personal Valentine's Day message.

bat mitvah.

Here's a fun letterpress invitation set we designed last year for a bat mitzvah in New York. Rebeca Raney created the custom drawings for the piece, along with a large scale paint-by-numbers for the event in a similar style.

Josie's celebration party was at the American Museum of Natural History... how awesome is that?

new in the shoppe: hello there.

We brought back an old favorite design: simple, flat letterpressed 'hello there' notecards. Now available in multiple colors in our shoppe.

letterpress album art.

I recently finished this letterpress album art for my husband's band, The Olympic Whites. It was a really fun project, and nice to experiment with printing on a kraft CD folder.

Their new CD is great - you can listen to some songs here or here, and purchase the album here.

fall festival.

Yes, it's a busy weekend. Saturday is also the Local First Fall Festival and we'll have a booth set up with all of our letterpress goods for sale (including some new 'hello there' cards in various colors! - coming soon to our shoppe).

Be sure to stop by and say hello...
Time, location and other details here.

typeface.

We've really enjoyed all the design-centered documentaries that have been coming out lately, but Typeface might just take the cake. (I think a field trip to the Hamilton Wood Type Museum may be in order.)

say "ahh."

Everyone knows we've got a big ol' letterpress crush on Studio on Fire. This piece really shows how amazing they are at what they do.

frank lloyd wright letterpress print.

A new 5x7" letterpress print printed in grey, citron & seafoam with a favorite Frank Lloyd Wright quote: Stay close to nature. It will never fail you. Now available in our shoppe for only $7.

(Thanks to the orders so far - we're glad you like it!)

coming soon.

Things have been crazy lately, but here's a sneak peek of a new print, coming soon to our shoppe.
(Have you purchased your calendar yet?)

seesaw + 2010 letterpress calendar.

We're so excited to share that our 2010 letterpress calendar is now complete!

Our design was inspired by nature and a love for classic modern shapes, resulting in a playful exploration of form and color interaction. The design also emphasizes use after the year is over: trim off the dates, and keep the four pieces as prints.

The calendar is available for purchase in our shoppe or our etsy for $28.

thanks, we love you, and a giveaway.

We recently designed and letterpressed several new thank you cards and sent them out to all of our past and present design clients. A huge thank you is also due to all of our blog readers. We appreciate those of you who subscribe, follow, link to us, and leave us comments. It's wonderful to share inspiration and ideas with everyone on a daily basis. Last week we made our 1000th post!

We're now offering three-packs of each card design in our shoppe (as well as a variety pack). And as just a little THANK YOU to all of you, enter for your chance to win two 3-packs of cards.

red white and blue.

Here's a little sneak peek of some design elements in our 2010 letterpress calendar... coming soon. (Be excited! It's fantastic; we can hardly wait to get printing.)

Happy 4th of July weekend.

cheree berry.

Aren't these wedding invites just darling?
Prior to starting her own paper line, Cheree worked at Kate Spade as well as Pentagram. Her personalized stationary can also be found on minted.
note: I love string and envelope liners.

seesaw business cards.

I'm sure many of you have already seen our business cards, but I thought it would be nice to document anyway. I love that they spark conversation; almost every single person asks about the stitching* or the tactile paper or the letterpress impression.

*thanks to our fantastic intern diana + her awesome seamstress skills
