Yesterday I finally had the chance to stop in the new store FOUND. by domestic bliss in Mesa. If you're local, it's a must-see space filled with great vintage treasures and beautiful styling. There were several incredible pieces of industrial furniture I wanted to take home with me.

Doucette Duval's Spring 2010 collection makes me want to call in sick and head to the Shady Dell.

Yah for local giveaways - Matteo.

melrose street fair.

The weather in Phoenix is beautiful right now, and to celebrate Spring we'll be at the Melrose Street Fair this Saturday from 11am until 5 pm. Come say hello, enjoy the sunshine and check out the "Best Neighborhood Street Festival" according to the Phoenix New Times.

Yes, it's a busy weekend. Saturday is also the Local First Fall Festival and we'll have a booth set up with all of our letterpress goods for sale (including some new 'hello there' cards in various colors! - coming soon to our shoppe).

Be sure to stop by and say hello...

blissfest 2009.

Hey locals... head to Mesa this weekend for Blissfest 2009. Last year it raised $20,000 for NieNie... and this year Christian & Stephanie will be there as special guests!

I'm helping with the setup of the blogging lounge where you can come meet Heather Bailey, Tara Frey, NieNie and Jaimee Rose.

The party starts tonight (Friday). For more details & schedule, visit here.

drift.

Even though it was 100 degrees in Phoenix this weekend, I'm really trying to get in the fall mindset. These images + butternut squash soup helps.

As you can see, we had some fun with giant letters at this month's First Friday. Have you registered for Phoenix Design Week yet?

first friday: phoenix.

If you're local, head out to First Friday in downtown Phoenix tonight. SeeSaw will be there representing Phoenix Design Week and doing something fun (hint: it involves giant letters).

thats happy.

Lisa, we adore your 2010 calendar.

best of phoenix: seesaw.

Yesterday we had a nice little surprise - SeeSaw was included in the New Times' Best of Phoenix 2009! Yeah, good start to the weekend :)

phoenix design week.

We've been honored to be involved in the first Phoenix Design Week. Lots of good things are going on (great speakers, Typophile film festival, exhibits and more) so if you're local you should plan on attending.

Plus, if you get a swag bag you'll find a lovely SeeSaw letterpress print in the mix.

See you there?

smeeks.

Since all three of us have a major sweet tooth, I'm thinking an office trip to Smeeks is in order.
Smeeks is the sweet sister shop of Frances, a great spot for clothes and gifts (and a SeeSaw supporter).

objectified.

We have been quite antsy, waiting patiently and finally Objectified makes its way to Tempe. It is going to be a special screening with director Gary Hustwit - so excited.

fold.

Fold makes great cards from bits of wire, snips of thread, and colorful scraps of paper.

(and they're based right here in Phoenix, yeah!)

Arizona does have water, you just have to find it. This weekend I enjoyed a lovely hike through Fossil springs in Strawberry Pine. It would have been nice if I had this yellow swimsuit when launching myself off the waterfalls.

Upside Down, Inside Out, Arnish Kapoor, 2003
End of the Century, Lari Pittman, 1986-7

I enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the Phoenix Museum of Modern Art this past weekend. I starred at this Donald Judd for longer then you could possibly imagine. There is just something so complex about simplicity. If you haven't been by in a bit - YaYoi Kusama's bright lights is a must.

One of my favorite things about being a designer is that we meet all sorts of creative people in our field. Jeffrey McKee recently contacted us; he's a local designer with an impressive portfolio. I just fell in love with some of his posters and print work (this piece in particular).

I sense a letterpress collaboration coming on...
