everything.

This poster has been all over the place; I think the story & sentiment are beautiful.

the new domestic.

My canvas tote that I take grocery shopping is wearing a little thin, and I've been looking for a replacement. So I was excited about the launch of The New Domestic yesterday. Their first line includes these tote bags with screen printed triangle patterns. Bonus: the other side of all the totes is printed with diagonal stripes, so it's a two-in-one.

patterned neutrals.

Wanting even more patterned neutrals in my wardrobe, like both of these Rachel Comey tops from Beklina.

superette.

Superette: a neighborhood cafe with market produce and specialty foods, and an adorable interior. I might be coveting that yellow planter on the wall. If I lived in Cape Town, this would surely be a favorite stop.

Louise Despont's geometric illustrations are really lovely, don't you think?

total failure.

A good reminder & thought to start off my week, from Marius Roosendal.

fringe.

The fringe trend is going strong (thanks in large part to Confetti System). These images have me thinking of ways to incorporate some fringed paper into my weekend festivities.

OH, and did you see the fringey monogram on Oh Happy Day earlier this week? Amazing.

yellow and blue.

This room is fantastic - that color palette is always a winner in my book. And doesn't the girl on the right kinda look like a modern day version of the Vilhelm Lundstrøm oil painting?

a house without borders.

Some things to love about this home in Sweden: the colorful artwork, that leather sofa, the bright kitchen, and especially that courtyard and garden.

gold hearted.

I've got my eye on these necklaces from new jewelry shop Gold Hearted. I'd wear the coral ember necklace layered with the luna.

are you a hybrid?

MAD recently commissioned Stephen Burks as guest curator of its 2nd floor MADProject Space. If you're in NYC in mid-May, check it out.

nach acht.

There's something innately playful about these pieces from nach acht.

I'd really love to design a small line of furniture one day. SeeSaw sit?

I think the juxtaposition of materials in Lee Borthwick's work is pretty rad.

ringo atelier.

Ringo Atelier is a small creative workshop for children, with simple craft and project ideas to keep little ones entertained. I think art from little kids is one of the most charming things ever.

my new roots.

As I've been trying especially hard to eat healthier this year, I find myself turning to blogs for food inspiration. One of my favorite discoveries is My New Roots. Sarah is starting to make videos (like a mini cooking show!) and I absolutely loved this one above about how to make quinoa, one of my favorite foods.

Do you have any favorite food/recipe sites?

wall pop.

Now that my walls have finally been converted from nasty dark beige/tan to white (lots and lots of coats of white) I'm tentatively dreaming about wallpaper. Sometimes a lot of color makes me nervous, but I think a lot of Harlequin's patterns are really lovely, in moderation of course.

And I'd like that brown Wassily chair, please and thank you.

Sheila Hicks' textile art is textural & breathtaking.

weekend + winner.

It's been crazy around here lately, and I'm so ready for the weekend. Most of my Saturdays and Sundays are spent on house remodels, and I'm really inspired by the eclectic, open space of Kirra and Dane, as seen on Grace's blog. I'm hoping someday my home will be half as cute as theirs.

Thanks to everyone who entered our Indian vs. Indian giveaway, and congrats to our lucky winner, Kelly.
