Have a spooky Halloween.

a few of our favorite things.

Joslyn over at Simple Lovely asked us to share our favorites. Here's a little peek, but check out her blog sometime today to see ten things we love.

Experimental furniture design. Simple, modular love.

park & cube.

Inspiration in the nails.

firmdale hotels.

Love the family / couple collaborations. Tim and Kit Kemp, Firmdale owners just recently opened a new hotel in New York. They design all the hotel interiors combining color and texture creating a unique look and style.

How fun would it be to spend a few days exploring all five London locations?

say "ahh."

Everyone knows we've got a big ol' letterpress crush on Studio on Fire. This piece really shows how amazing they are at what they do.

my morning cup.

If I had my way, I'd have my morning cup here tomorrow.
(Earl grey, no cream or sugar please).

christopher nemeth.

Fascinating mood, details and drawings in designer Christopher Nemeth's studio and store, as photographed by The Selby.

print regional design annual.

The new Print regional design annual arrived today and it's been inspiring to look through all the great work (though slightly disappointing to see the lack of representation from Phoenix/ the Southwest).

I loved the above image in a clever poster invitation for an educational event featuring Pentagram NY partner Abbott Miller, designed by BarfootWorldwide.

francois robert.

Love this idea: a woman's portrait via the contents of her purse, by Francois Robert.

hello handmade.

Lovely new offerings in the Hello Handmade shop.

frank lloyd wright letterpress print.

A new 5x7" letterpress print printed in grey, citron & seafoam with a favorite Frank Lloyd Wright quote: Stay close to nature. It will never fail you. Now available in our shoppe for only $7.

(Thanks to the orders so far - we're glad you like it!)

katharina trudzinski.

I very much love these beautiful sculpture installations by Katharina Trudzinski.

studiopatró.

It's only a matter of time before I click 'buy' to the items in my shopping cart from Studiopatró (I've waited four days so far but I can't handle it much longer. Beautifully designed tea towels make me - and my house - happy.)

network osaka.

Deep down I know I am a minimalist but I also enjoy purchasing. Lately everything I own seems to be breaking, all sorts of gorgeous classical pieces - vintage lamps, tea sets, everything really. At first I was getting really upset and figured I had some kind of bad spirit following me around. But now with some time it has all become clear - less is more. Minimalism is not easy. White space is beautiful.

eternal child.

I adore this look. If I showed up at a meeting wearing this I don't know that our clients would take me seriously. Phoenix is coming along and we are slowly painting the city white.

haptic lab.

Emily Fischer's quilted blankets patterned after city maps are amazingly subtle & beautiful.

iso 50.

Loving the color palette of all of the iso50 prints.

lizzy janssen.

There's something about this Little Collections painting by Lizzy Janssen that I'm really drawn to. Visit her shop here.

animal decor.

Over the weekend I had quite an interesting experience: I visited some friends of my in-laws who have huge rooms full of taxidermied animals from hunting safaris in Africa and elsewhere. We're talking giant elephants, zebras, giraffes, rhinos, polar bears... it was fascinating, creepy, and honestly a little bit traumatizing.

It got me thinking that I'm grateful my husband isn't a hunter. I think the absolute most animal decor I could ever handle would be a fake zebra rug and maybe some antlers :)

Hooray! Mieke Willems (a cute shop we love) just opened a little online store with goodies for those of us who can't make it over to Belgium.
