happy 3rd birthday to us.
Earlier this week we celebrated our 3rd year of being in business! Pretty crazy to think that it was three years ago when we were finishing up our last year of design school together at ASU... I'm so glad we decided to go for it and start our own studio.
Oh, and winning the Big Brain award on Saturday was a perfect birthday present. :)
(On a personal note... Lindsay and Raquel, I'm so grateful for both of you! Thanks for all you do to make SeeSaw what it is.)

Over the weekend I had to throw out a few plants around my house that unfortunately were too dead to save. This happens a little too often. Maybe I should give up trying to keep things alive and just surround myself with paper plants like all of these beauties made by Yuko Yamamoto.

Finally, a few photos of SeeSaw's office space. It's a work in progress, but we're pretty happy with it considering what we started with when we first moved in.

For those of you wondering, our letterpress workspace is separate from this studio. We're on the second floor (of a cool mid-century building we love) so our large full-size presses that weigh a couple tons would probably come crashing through the floor. Eventually we hope to be in a space where we can combine both -- and a storefront as well!

I really love creative couples. You know, like the Eames' or Robin & Lucienne Day.
This month's Print magazine featured 6 designer couples, including Ellen Lupton & Abbot Miller and others. And then yesterday I came across the Creative Couples column on The Strange Attractor (via Joslyn) and found these photos of more artist/designer couples. So adorable.
