seesaw: day trip to arcosanti.
This week, SeeSaw took a day trip to Arcosanti for some creative inspiration. It's an experimental town in the Arizona desert, built to embody Paolo Soleri's concept of arcology - the fusion of architecture with ecology.
We all agreed it was pretty amazing and beautiful. It would be a neat experience to live/work there for a few weeks (they offer various workshops) or even just stay overnight.

It looks oh so beautiful!
awesome, We drove past Acrosanti on our way up to Flagstaff a couple of sumemrs ago. It was a trip, I dont think I'd want to live there - too insulated living in a honeycomb. If I remember the philosophy was to have everything one would need in that complex - you'd never have to leave. Intense, but definitely cool to see! Nice photos too!
gorgeous
While a few years ago even the strict updo vogue, now everything goes more towards naturalness.

Design devotees can hold the files for an evening, and those wishing to additionally submerge themselves in the Arcosanti experience can lease rooms or visitor houses.
