Every Wednesday we go to Galileo Bread Emporio for lunch. Owned by husband-and-wife Zoran and Milka, it's a darling little Italian cafe & bakery in Scottsdale. The pastries and bread are made fresh early every morning, and they also have a menu of yummy sandwiches and salads. Our favorite sandwich is the Gemelli - fresh mozzarella, eggplant, tomato, basil and the perfect amount of olive oil on a homemade crusty baguette. And we'd be lying if we said we didn't have a cookie after every meal. These have got to be the greatest cookies in the world (and trust me, we've tried a lot of cookies). Mmmmm.
Go see for yourself. Galileo is in Scottsdale located at Hayden & Mtn View. Hours: Tuesday-Saturday from 7 am-4 pm and Sunday from 7:30am-2pm. They are closed on Monday.
