telegram news.

My friend Shalynna and her husband created this awesome telegram announcement to share good news with their family (baby on the way). So clever, I love it.

And this is still the most hilarious baby announcement of all time.

I adore this! When I was researching telegrams for my wedding invitations (http://jeremyandkathleen.blogspot.com/2009/03/j-k-wedding-invitations.html) I came across a lot of vintage telegrams announcing births. What a great idea to recreate it.

Just to clarify, telegrams haven't stopped. Western Union's telecommunications network circuits were sold off in the 1980s to MCI. The telegram service is now run by International Telegram (iTelegram). Customers can place telegrams using the iTelegram web site or through a phone operator.
