collected, inherited and made.

This Cobble Hill apartment in Brooklyn, home to the architects/designers behind Workstead, is a great example of collecting and holding on to things that have a meaningful history. Art and designer furniture passed on from grandparents (jealous), beautiful industrial lighting, an awesome postcard collection, and more.

Such inspiring and pretty photos! I love the wall in the first photo, with all the prints/cards on it!

what a wonderful collection of beautiful things! i tend to hoard bits and pieces of things that i just can't bare to throw out... gives me a few ideas on how to give them a proper home.

I love items passed down from family members. They're some of my most prized decorating things. I hope my house one day is a modge podge of family antiques.
