Lovely color with a charming style.

I can't get enough - so good.

junk+tion.

I've been really into repurposing lately, and Junk+tion's got an interesting take on alternate lives of everyday objects.

the brave.

Our studio is located close to an uber touristy cowboy/southwestern shopping area, chock full of all the turquoise, cowboy statues and Navajo rugs you could ever want. Most of it is just too much for me, but there's something to be said about doing the Southwestern vibe with restraint.

löf.

It may look like I'm at work at my desk at the SeeSaw studio today, but mentally I'm here, at a simple light-filled cottage in the Stockholm archipelago, as shot by Martin Löf.

arian behzadi.

I've been testing paint colors lately. Sometimes I wish I wasn't so picky (you know you have a problem when it's hard to find the right color of white for the walls...) but it comes with being a designer I guess. Anyway, loving this piece of art from Arian Behzadi's Serie II collection.

jane herman.

Jane Herman's effortless and classic style is evident in her Brooklyn apartment, wardrobe, and even her looks (love that hair). Beautiful — all of it.

Tons of open space & natural light at a renovated garage, now home of the Hub.

There have been a lot of new boutiques opening up in Phoenix, and I can't wait to stop by this one, especially since it's right next door to another favorite, Mercantile.

dokter and misses.

The rope in the first photo appears to be a nice detail to add some texture & visual interest but it is actually a rope like extension chord - genius!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Wanting and needing a bit more then usual, maybe it has something to do with the shift in seasons. Seems like it's time for some spring cleaning.

I want a baby and a crib.

lettermarch.

Our former intern Aymie is awesome - she worked for us for a short while and then ran off to NYC to hang out with Swiss Miss and Jessica Hische. (Tiniest bit jealous? Maybe) She's got this awesome month-long project of carving one letter a day, and she's almost done.

Speaking of interns, SeeSaw is looking for a few great creative student designers to help out around the studio. If you're interested, email us at info@seesawdesigns.com.

i need nice things.

Simple and bold - that's how I like my art. And if it's affordable, it may just end up on my walls.

vintage colour.

Home to antiquarian Jean-François and wife Sophie, this space is full of life. Their collection of modern furniture looks great against all that color.

local natives.

Local Natives have been on my music rotation for a few months now. La Blogotheque recently recorded this great takeaway show with them (note: music starts around minute 1:00). They're playing here in Phoenix next month with The Arcade Fire, and I wish I was going. On the plus side, I'm seeing The Black Keys the day after!

Any music you're loving lately?

It's officially spring, and I'd like to pack up a few great books and some pieces from Toast and head out on my seaside holiday. Who's with me?

I can't even begin to imagine the patience involved in making a quilt like this.

On Tuesdays we have these insanely long meetings where we discuss the future of SeeSaw. In this week's meeting we tossed around the idea of tea towels and cloning ourselves.

Our hearts go out to the Japanese people, and many in the design community have been moved to help. Want to make a difference? Here are a few ways:

Donate directly to the Japanese Red Cross, or purchase a W+K Japan relief poster or a relief tee from Jesslin Beutler.

Two perfect blazers, a classic cream top, green pants (I never knew I needed green pants until now) and more from Zara's March 2011 lookbook.
